Selecting a Topic
Step 1: Brainstorm ideas
Choose a topic that interests you
Write any key words or concepts that may be of interest to you
Once you have brainstormed some ideas, choose 3
Step 2: General research on each of the 3 ideas
Will you be able to find information?
Are you truly interested in the topic?
Is your topic narrow enough to thoroughly research in the time available?
Step 3: Choose 1 of your 3 ideas & focus on your topic
Keep it manageable
Think about how to narrow the topic
Think about a potential research question that you could use as a thesis
